The Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum, which opened its doors in 1997, is known as the Grand Strand's home for contemporary visual arts. Housed in a restored 1920's beach cottage, the museum features 10 galleries with rotating visual art exhibitions, as well as The Waccamaw Arts and Crafts Guild Collection and the Bishop Collection of Antique Maps and Prints.
