A National Historic Landmark that was built in 1740, Hopsewee Plantation served as the birthplace of Thomas Lynch Jr., a signer of the Declaration of Independence. Hopsewee Plantation is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 AM through 4 PM and Saturday from 12 PM to 4 PM. In addition, the plantation's tea room is open by reservation.
